Judith Ann (Brehmer) Piel, 79, of Peshtigo passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at Northland Luther Home.
Born May 26, 1939 in Milwaukee, to the late Clarence Paul and Lillian Louise (Spardtholz) Brehmer, she attended Washington High School and did modeling and worked for Harley Davidson Company for five years in the 1950's. She also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for five years in the 1980's. She married Rev. Daniel R. Piel on Dec. 4, 1981.
Active in her Church, she led a strong faith life, was Sunday School teacher/Superintendent, sang in the choir, belonged to he women's circle and also did other pastoral wife roles.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, time with family and playing card games, but her passion was watching her grandchildren grow-up.
Survivors include four daughters, Tammy (Robert) Hanson of Milwaukee, Christine (Jim) Loeber of West Bend and Danielle (Chris) Moon and Deanna Gilane, both of Peshtigo; two sons, Jeff (Cynthia) Gilane of Caledonia and Jonathan (Christina) Piel of Wauwatosa and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Daniel Piel and a brother, Jack Brehmer.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 331 Pine St. in Peshtigo from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m., with Rev. David Murphy officiating. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
