Joseph F. "Boots" Bikowski, 93, of Oconto, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Sun Valley Homes in Oconto.
Born Oct. 26, 1924 in Oconto, to the late Joseph F. And Clara (Wroblewski) Bikowski, Sr., he married Ruth DeCloux on April 12, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oconto.
He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto, American Legion Post #74 and Wisconsin Telephone Company Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bikowski; three daughters, Patricia (Fred) Martin, Sue Tomalak and Beth (Michael) Radtke; two sons, Joseph (Sherry) Bikowski and Tom (Diane) Bikowski; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Raymond, Leonard and Harry Bikowski; two sisters, Pearl Scheuren and Helen Yoblonski and a son-in-law, Dan Tomalak.
The family received relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. Rev. Joel Sember officiated with burial in Oconto Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites by all Oconto Veteran organizations. Memorials can be made to Oconto Hospital Citizens Foundation or Holy Trinity building fund. Gallagher Funeral Home of Oconto assisted the family with arrangements.
