THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Seth Alfaro to Speak in Crivitz
Issue Date: October 25, 2018
St. Mary Catholic Church in Crivitz will host a talk from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Parish Hall. The featured speaker is Seth Alfaro. He is a 22 year-old personal trainer from Grand Rapids, MI. and has a passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. It's personal to him, because he has had so much to overcome himself.
Just a year ago, Alfaro was an up and coming musician and rapper with big dreams of becoming famous someday. But on Feb. 13, 2017, those dreams changed after a tragic accident left him in a coma for 2-1/2 weeks, fighting for his life. He had suffered brain sheering-the most serious of brain injuries. The doctors didn't know if he would ever wake up again. While thousands of people from around the world prayed for a miracle, Seth was having an up close and personal experience with his God that would not only heal him physically, but would also change who he was and who he wanted to become.
He still has dreams, but now they revolve around the One he met while in a coma, the God who gave him life, who healed him, whose love he felt, and who showed him He has a plan for his life.
While he loves his work as a personal trainer, he believes that God is asking him to help people not only physically, but also spiritually, through the sharing of his experiences, both through speaking and music.
This talk will take place at St. Mary Parish Hall, 804 Henriette Ave, Crivitz. It is free and open to the public. The youth of the area are especially invited to attend. If questions, call the parish office at 715-854-2501.
