Coleman To Finalize Some Referendum Project Plans
Issue Date: November 8, 2018
The Coleman School Board agenda for its monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 12 provides for some major decisions on projects to be carried out with the funds approved in last spring's district-wide referendum.
In addition to regular monthly business, the board will be asked to approve a food service design contract for kitchen/cafeteria remodeling to be done in connection with the overall renovation, approve use of the District's Fund 46 savings for some major scope adjustments in referendum project plans, and select a referendum paint color. A previous meeting had included discussions on just which shade of green would best represent the green in district's official green and gold school colors, with an eye to carrying it through to everything from flooring and wall highlights to uniforms and mastheads.
District Spotlight for the meeting will be on the Student Council. The board is being asked to accept several donations, approve the school emergency response plan, and approve a revision to the Advanced Placement (AP) GPA section in the Middle School/High School student handbook for the 2019-2020 school year. Also on the agenda are hiring Julie Patefield as Third Grade Aide, discussion on the school calendar for next year, and hearing a report of school activities, awards, programs and conferences.
