Dora (Borlee) Van Dreel, 100, of Oconto Falls, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls, surrounded by many family members.
Born Dec. 17, 1918 in Dyckesville, to Louis and Mayme (Barrette) Borlee, she married Lester Van Dreel on Oct. 15, 1934 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Green Bay where they lived until moving to Oconto Falls in 1953. She worked at the Ben Franklin Store there for 36 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls.
Survivors include four children, Jean (Donald) Graef, Oconto Falls, Nancy (Charles) Yost, Green Bay, Barbara (Eugene) Duffy, Howard and Lester (Marilyn) Van Dreel Jr., Krakow; 23 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 57 great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Michael Blasczyk, Green Bay and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester in 1981; five sisters, Irene Jolly, Rose Barrette, Marie Wishart, Jackie Maus and Betty Blasczyk; two granddaughters, Carol Jean Graef and Connie Jefrey and a great-grandson, Steven Graef.
Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Joel Sember will officiate followed by burial in the Church Cemetery.
