Randy A. Meyer, 57, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Aug. 6, 1961, to Gary and Patricia (Miljour) Mink in Milwaukee, he graduated from Escanaba High School in 1979 and worked at Tyco from 1992 until 2014 and then opened a painting business, Straight Line Painting. On Oct. 13, 2012, he married Karen Stromberg at the Four Seasons in Pembine.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, especially ducks and was an avid concert goer of any kind, except country. He was a good cook, especially of pasties, soups and anything on the grill. He loved children and was an awesome dad and uncle to his four nephews, who he sometimes helped raise.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son, Nathan Truesdell and a daughter, Megan Truesdell all of Menominee; his mother, Patricia Mink of Peshtigo; a brother, Daniel (Tammy) Meyer of Marinette; two sisters, Tina (Clint) Bray of Marinette and Sheila (Jeff) Hancock of Adams-Friendship; his mother-in-law, Marie Stromberg; two brothers-in-law, Robbie Stromberg of Florida and Wayne (Lynn) Stromberg of Menominee; two sisters-in-law, Susan (Al) Stromberg and Heidi (Matt) Schroeder, both of Marinette; additional nieces and nephews; a cousin; best friends, Eric Dausey and Rick Van Laanen, both of Marinette and many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary; father-in-law, Bob Stromberg; three uncles and an aunt.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 at Little Nugget Golf Course, County Road 338, Menominee at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life until 3 p.m. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
