Leonard A. Dombrowski, 86, of Escanaba (Hyde area), passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at his home.
Born Dec. 20, 1932 in Daggett, Mi., to the late Joseph and Anna (Wasilauskas) Dombrowski, he married the former Elmie Lafave on June 25, 1955 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding.
He enjoyed working on his Christmas tree farm, working in his garage, restoring model T's, wood carving, playing concertina, being in the outdoors, especially hunting and making maple syrup, but most important was time with family.
Survivors include wife, Elmie; three children, James (Karen) Dombrowski, Dianna (Charles) Lawson and Dorinda (Dave Mlostek) Dombrowski; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Johnson; three brothers, Richard (Shirley), Cleo (Sally) and Raymond (Lynn) Dombrowski; a sister-in-law, Mary Dombrowski and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Jerome Dombrowski.
Friends called at St. Bruno's Church in Nadeau on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A luncheon followed in the Church Parish Hall. Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery in Spring. Donations can be made to St. Bruno's Church in his name. Allo Coolman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
