Cheryl A. (Held) Strojny, 61, of Menominee, Mi., formerly of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019.
Born July 7, 1957 in Sheboygan, to Harlan and Marilyn (Hersh) Held, she graduated from Brookfield High School and then Lakeland College with a degree in Business. She worked at Ansul/Tyco for many years until her illness. On June 20, 1981, she married Joseph Strojny in Sheboygan Falls.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading. An active member of Resurrection Parish, she enjoyed volunteering her time to various activities.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe; a son, Mark (Amanda) of Pulaski; a daughter, Sara Hensley of Menominee; two grandchildren; her mother, Marilyn (Don) Martin of Waukesha; her step-mother, Judy Held of Kohler; a brother, Steven (Rosewitha) Held of Virginia and two sisters, Sue (Don) Schneider of Colorado and Sandy (Greg) Bowe of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harlan and a brother, Scott.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish at 11a.m. Fr. Brian Gerber will preside with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette.
