Mildred A. "Milly" (Kveton) Hansen, 98, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1920 in Menominee, Mi., to Frank and Julia (Johnson) Kveton, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1938 and served as chairman of class reunions until 1998. She married Erling Hansen on Dec. 26, 1941 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Marinette, where she was a devoted member and belonged to Dorcas Circle. She also worked with the quilters for many years and assisted the Pastor.
She worked at the former Boreal Mfg. Co. and later in the insurance offices of Robert Hitchon and the Eklund Insurance Agency. An avid golfer, she was a member of Little River Country Club since 1955, had her first hole in one at age 77 and played in many tournaments. She also played in several different bridge clubs over the years.
She is survived by a son, James (Natalie) Hansen of Plymouth; two daughters, Janis (Richard) Boldt of Eau Claire and Julianne (Tom) Schacht of Ramsey, Mn.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Marie Kveton, Terry Wood and Marsha Kveton; many nieces; nephews and riends at Northland Terrace Estates.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Erling and four brothers, Robert, Frank, Ralph and Richard Kveton.
Friends may call at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Sunday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. until time of the services at 1 p.m., with Rev. James Wendzt officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
