Mary Ann (Provancher) Smit, 72, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019.
She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Wayland for 40 years and a loyal Green Bay Packer fan, but most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry J. Smit; two children, Amy (George) Chatterson and Brian (Amber) Smit; five grandchildren; two siblings, John (Judy) Provancher and Larry (Aura) Provancher; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Tom (Betty) Ennis.
Along with her parents, Reuben Provancher and Frances (Martin) Provancher, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne (Gary) Vanderfin.
Visitation with the family was held at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home in Dorr, Mi. on Thursday, April 4 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wayland Mi. on Friday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Fr. Alphonse Savarimuthu presiding. Interment was held on Friday April 5 at Dorr Cemetery in Dorr, Mi.
