Kathleen L. (Hunt) Hemingway, 66, of Pembine, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Freeman Nursing Home in Kingsford, Mi.
Born June 17, 1952 in Chicago, Ill., to Gilbert and Deloras (Fredrickson) Hunt, she grew up in Chicago and graduated from James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Ill. She married Robert Hemingway on Nov. 12, 1977 in Milwaukee and they lived for many years in Milwaukee and Schaumburg, Ill., where she worked as the head accountant for Toys R Us. She later moved to Elgin, Ill. where she worked as the account manager for Lyn-den Flooring Company and then they moved to Pembine in 1996 where she worked in accounting at Walmart in Iron Mountain.
She loved working, being around people and enjoyed time with family, her dog and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert; her mother, Deloras (Billy) Ackley, Kingsford, Mi.; a son, Timothy (Becky) Hemingway, Amberg; three brothers, David (Heather) Hunt, Elgin, Ill., Dan Hunt, Chicago, Ill. and Art (Ellen) Hunt, Sugar Land, Tx.; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and best friend, Kathy Donovan.
In addition to her father, Gilbert David Hunt, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Hunt.
A private family graveside service will take place in Spring at the Pembine Cemetery. Jacobs Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Iron Mountain, Mi. is assisting the family.
