Muriel Joan (Beyer) Gilbert, 85, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born May 27, 1933 in Menominee Mi., to the late Charles and Frances (Girard) Beyer, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1951. She moved her family to Mundelein Ill. in 1963 where she lived for 40 years. Her career was in Quality Control for Monogram/ Revell for most of her career.
She retired in 2000 and returned to her hometown where she was a member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee. She loved flowers, watching her grandchildren, nieces and nephews sports events, playing bingo and going on casino trips. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Packers and following the Brewers. She was a loving person and friend to all.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Timothy) Torgersen; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Wilke of Marinette and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Antoinette, Shirley and Kathleen and a brother, Gordon Beyer.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, April 12 from 9 a.m. until time of Parish Prayers at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Parish. Fr. Brian Gerber will preside with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
