Robert F. Jandt, 83, of Pound, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019.
Born Sept. 27, 1935, to the late Andrew and Ruth (Holdmann) Jandt in Milwaukee, he lived most of his life in Hartland, where he attended Hartland Grade School and graduated from Hartland High School in 1954. He then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering and UW-Milwaukee. On Aug. 16, 1958, he married Judith Kingston at Congregational Church.
While living in Hartland, he was a member of the Hartland Sportsmen Club, American Legion Post 294 and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He served in the United States Army for three years during the cleanup of Korea and the first wave of Vietnam. He also was a volunteer fireman for 35 years and volunteer EMT for 11 years.
They moved to their retirement home in May 2002 on Underwood Lake. He was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Suring where he served on the Church Council and was an Usher. After retirement, he was a member of the Kelly Lake Sportsman's Club, the Lee Lake and Underwood Lake Conservation Club and member and past Worshipful Master of the Tri-County Daylight Masonic Lodge #218. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; a daughter, Jennifer and other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda and two brothers, Edward and Harry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Fred Mai officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
