Positions Open For April 2020 ElectionsIssue Date: November 27, 2019 Terms on all county boards, school boards, city councils, village boards and 5-member town boards, as well as many judicial posts in Wisconsin expire in April of 2020 and will be filled at elections on Tuesday, April 7, which is also the date of Wisconsin's presidential preference primary election. If a primary election for state and local offices is required it will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Candidates interested in being elected to one of those positions can begin circulating nomination papers on Sunday, Dec. 1, and must have them filed in the appropriate offices with the proper number of signatures and campaign registration statements by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 to be listed on ballots for the Tuesday, April 7 elections.
In Marinette County all 30 County Board seats are to be filled in the April 7 elections, and in Oconto County all 31 County Board positions will be filled. There is no incumbent for the Marinette County Board District 16 seat representing town of Grover, due to the recent resignation of Supervisor David Zahn.
