Ronald G. Morton, Sr., 87, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area in Marinette.
Born Aug. 5, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Mi., to the late George and Viola (Roller) Morton, he graduated from Manistique High School in 1950. In 1953, he married the former Jenene Caskey in Richmond, Ind. and she preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2002.
On Feb. 16, 2008, he married Joyce Chaney in Stephenson and worked for Manistique Paper for 35 years with the last 17 years in Sales and as a Service Representative.
He enjoyed traveling, going to shows at the Casino and spending time with family. A member of Lost Lake Covenant Church, he also belonged to the 32nd Degree Mason's.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Stephenson; two children, Ronald G. (Candace) Morton Jr. of Marinette and Jenette (Dennis) Weaver of Menominee, Mi.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-children, Christine (Dan) Denau of Escanaba, Mi., Mark (Diane) Blaskowski of Kingsford, Mi.and Joe (Anne) Blaskowski of Bay City, Mi.; eight step-grandchildren and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Morton.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Andrew Stonina officiating.
