
Evelyn R. KlitzkeIssue Date: February 13, 2020 Evelyn Ruth (Johnson) Klitzke, 86, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mi.
Born July 28, 1933 in Stephenson, to the late Antone and Julia (Moran) Johnson, she married Donald C. Klitzke on June 17, 1950 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Greenwoods, Mi. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2010. She worked as a cook at Reinke's Restaurant and later as a nurse's aid at Roubal's Nursing Home and Pinecrest Nursing Home.
She loved being outdoors, fishing and enjoyed nature, baking, cooking, crafting, shopping and going to Perkins with friends. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, she also loved traveling and going for rides, but her greatest joy was being with family. She was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Judy (Craig) Francour, Carol (Tom) Oczus, Barb (Jim) Leaveck, Marylou (Dale) Walcher, Tammy Van Domelen and Lisa Klitzke; two sons, Donald Jr. (Peg) and Guy (Susan); 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Pat Heiden and Louise Johnson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Van Domelen; a daughter-in-law, Betty and two sisters, Delores Loskot and Marion Stem.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 4 p.m. until time of shared memories at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Paul Doletzky presiding. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery.
