A benefit will be held for Karla Blohm of Menominee on Saturday, Oct. 25 from11 am to 3 pm at Wild North, N2497 01 Dr., Menominee, eight miles north of Menominee on Hwy 41.
She was recently diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer.
All money raised will help the family with medical bills and expenses.
There will be food, music, 50/50 and bucket raffles, and activities for children.
Born and raised in Menominee County, over the years with the diagnosis, she remains upbeat and is determined to fight and enjoy each day. She is the sole income provider for her family and is no longer able to work due to chemotherapy. After chemo is completed, she will undergo a month of daily radiation followed by surgery.
Some of the raffle items to be given are Packer autographed merchandise, Island Resort and Casino hotel stay with dinner package, a variety of gift certificates, and more.
