Charlotte (Sarania) E. Altonaga-Cider, 81, of the Island Garden of Babak, Philippines, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 at her home in Pensacola, Fla., with her husband, Edward T. Cider and her son, Manuel at her side.
Born March 21, 1940, to Edlai and Antonia Sarania, she worked at Ray's Barber Shop in Menominee Plaza until moving to Illinois. She then opened her own shop in Downers Grove, Ill. where she worked until retiring and selling the business. They then moved to Pensacola, Fla.
They enjoyed traveling the United States and taking various cruises with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Manuel (Lydia) Altonaga; two brothers, Cocoy and Lando and nieces.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Placido Sarania.
A Celebration of Life was held at her home and attended by her son, Manuel Altonaga, her Pastor and Hospice Caregivers, including Nurse Adam. Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home of Pensacola, Fla. assisted the family. We were glad to have her in our life and she will be greatly missed.
