Odile Ann (Lanser) Wasmund, 84, of Suring, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.
Born May 9, 1937 in the Town of How, to the late John and Anna (Otradovec) Lanser, she graduated from Suring High School in 1955 and married Robert Wasmund on June 23, 1956 in Milwaukee. She later moved her family from Milwaukee to Suring, where she lived the rest of her life surrounded by family members. She worked at EvenFlo for many years before retiring when she could be found doing gardening, knitting/crocheting, painting, watching birds and taking her dog for walks.
She is survived by two sisters, Imaine (Stan) Olson and Eulalia (Llewellynn) Rueckert; a brother, Cyril Lanser; two sisters-in-law, Janice Lanser and Jane Lanser; two daughters, Laure Christensen and Robin (Jay) Gilligan; three sons, Wayne Wasmund, Todd (Michelle) Wasmund, and Kyle Wasmund; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wasmund; a sister, Melanie (Gaylord) Strehlow; three brothers, Matthais Lanser, Dennis Lanser and Anthony (Mary) Lanser; a sister-in-law, Joan Lanser; a son, Paul Wasmund; a son-in-law, Allan Christensen and a grandson, Cory Christensen.
A private service for immediate family will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Spring at Breed Union Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Spring is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
