Francis R. Pelon, 64, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at home with his children by his side after a brief battle with cancer.
Born July 22, 1957 in Menominee, Mi., to Raymond and Lillian (Hansen) Pelon, he graduated from Menominee High School.
A self employed truck driver for many years, he enjoyed boating, the outdoors, was always worried about others, especially those closest to him and willing to help anyone in need. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Survivors include two children, Michelle (Joe) Houle of Menominee, Mi. and Mark (Kayleigh) Pelon of Marinette; five grandchildren; a sister, Judy Nelson of Westfield, Ind.; three nieces, Kristy Pelon, Katie (Mike) Heyboer and Kandi (Brandon) Melsness; lifelong friend, Todd Dahl and many other friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick; a sister, Jeanne Huffman; an infant sister, Theresa Pelon and two good friends, Kurt Roberts and Bob Armstrong.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Deacon Chuck Gervasio presiding. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
