Peter Gregory Meyer, 66, of Beaver passed away Sunday, Jan.9, 2022 with family by his side at his childhood home.
Born Sept. 12, 1955, to the late George and Gael (Clow) Meyer, he graduated from Coleman High School in 1973. He then worked at Coleman Parts and Machine before moving to Grayslake, Ill. where he worked at Smalley Piston for 29 years until retiring in 2020 and returning to Beaver.
An active member of St. Anne Catholic Church, he volunteered his time generously. He enjoyed coaching and playing softball and was inducted into two different Hall of Fames in Chicago for coaching. He also enjoyed hiking, nature, gardening, all things outdoors and was an avid Green Bay Packers, Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers fan. He further enjoyed time with family, especially going out for dinner.
Surviving are six siblings, Sandy Fenendael, Dan (Leanne) Meyer, Larry (Lynn) Meyer, David (Cathy) Meyer, Cathy (Glenn) Buege and Joan (Dean) Campbell and many nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gael Meyer.
Family will greet relatives and friends at St. Anne Catholic Church in Coleman on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9 a.m., until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Felix Abano officiating.
