Letter to Editor:

Former President Trump is not out to change the electoral process. His mission is to make sure the law is followed and there is integrity in our elections. He was a president of law and order. He wasn't a politician that could be bought off! He was for the American people. President Trump represented the Republican Party and the respective people voted accordingly. He drew large crowds at his rallies offering promises of a better tomorrow which he followed through with. Remember the gas prices resulting from energy independence? Remember jobs, constitutional rights, foreign policy, no inflation, the border crisis, religious freedom, 401K's, lower taxes, law and order? Also, he donated his salary as President to charity - the only president in history that did this, The January 6th incident would never have happened if Nancy Pelosi who is in charge of capitol security, would have listened to President Trump who offered to bring in the National Guard 2 days before. The capitol police also wanted them but Pelosi had to approve. The DC police also wanted them but Murial Bowse, Mayor, refused the offer. And, the Jan. 6th committee refuse to ask Pelosi why she refused to accept President Trump's offer. He was a good referee for what we were dealing with and you need someone tough to stand up to chaos. Baby powder and warm milk just doesn't cut it.

We never had all of these election issues years ago. Now we have to contend with complaints of long lines, no available water or food, not getting to the polls on time, ID, etc. Boo Hoo! If you're able to march in the riots/protests, you're able to stand in line at the polls. And, is there something wrong with presenting an ID when you vote?

The last Presidential election required recounts and investigations. Oct, 29, 1921, we received an email from the Wisconsin GOP with an update relative to the investigations and I will quote "Yesterday, the Racine County Sheriff made a bombshell announcement highlighting the Wisconsin Elections Commission's violation of the law in their handling of voting in nursing homes. After WEC suspended special voting deputies for nursing homes, they told nursing home staff to commit a felony by voting on the behalf of residents who could not vote themselves - some of whom were in cognitive decline."

To continue, "The Legislative Audit Bureau's forensic audit report was released earlier this week and it uncovered some serious problems with Wisconsin's election administration some of which include:

-WEC had never run a report on whether people had multiple registrations in Wisconsin or died in other states going back to 2016.

-After 169,901 new individuals marked themselves as indefinitely confined in 2020, 48,554 indefinitely confined voters did not have a photo ID on file with their local clerk.

-45,665 new voters registered with driver's license information that did not match DMV records.

-WEC violated state law by not issuing rules on how to train special voting deputies or election inspections.

-WEC told clerks they could go home on election night and return the next day to finish counting, in violation of the law.

-Local clerks failed to remove over 12,500 dead voters from the rolls before election day.

-At least 17.5% of municipal clerks did not complete their required training by election day."

All of this data points out that it isn't President Trump that is trying to change the electoral process or destroy democracy. He's just trying to preserve the integrity of our constitutional right of voting, Look at New York now allowing illegal immigrants to vote and this will eventually be federalized. Look at our open border with tons of illegal immigrants pouring into our country! Take a look at all of this Socialism that is taking over our country and then decide about our democracy and constitutional rights. It certainly doesn't stem from President Trump!

The Democrats are trying to pass an election reform law that will be throughout the country allowing for mail in ballots which allows for no ID or signature check, etc. - very liberal and leads to foul play. They want ballot harvesting and drop boxes which also allows for foul play, A lot of gaslighting! Absentee ballots are utilized for handicapped and infirmed purposes and a few other reasons listed on the requirements. But, the use of these have become abused. The Republicans are against ballot harvesting and these drop boxes as they want to protect one's vote.

And of course, we have to deal with the "Zuk Bucks" with millions of dollars given to the democrat districts - there are 5 districts covered by this. Also, other out of state donations being poured into our elections. Lots of dark money to contend with and I feel donations should just be within our state.

Yesterday received another update informing that drop boxes and ballot harvesting are now UNLAWFUL in Wisconsin. It will be interesting to see how this will affect Zuckerberg's mobile van in Racine which offers drop boxes, early voting, etc. What next! Does this van include election officials? It was also interesting to read the bills that Governor Evers vetoed so you know where his heart lies. Drop boxes for Absentee Ballots are ridiculous as there's a postage stamp on your return envelope! Safely mail it at the post office or give it to the clerk. Drop Boxes are a waste of money, And, why in heavens name, must one go around and collect ballots? You can appoint someone to handle your ballot on your behalf when you register. Protect your vote! This is another waste of money! Just remember - the least amount of people that handle your ballot, the less chance of corruption!

So, I don't think President Trump was up to mischief as he set the wheel in motion for an electoral process that has integrity.

What can be wrong with our sick child?

Our desperate thoughts just run wild.

Long days, weeks, then a month goes by,

She's sick but doctors can't say why.

Then dreaded, painful words are heard -

Tumor - cancer - medical words.

No, you're wrong. That can't be right.

Hurry, quick, let's start the fight.

Doctors, nurses, lab technicians,

Care, concern, determination,

Tests, surgeries, treatments, and drains.

Our little warrior didn't complain.

A child's innocence - Will I die?

A parent's answer - a silent cry.

A bond never broken that sisterly love,

Now sadly shared from heaven above.

Forever barely eight-years-old,

No more giggles, cuddles, hand holds.

Our lives are changed forever more,

That soulful hurt we can't ignore.

A joyous ray of bright sunshine,

Our special little Valentine.

That darling imp with reddish hair,

Now there sits an empty chair.

Her light still shines in rainbows bright,

Reminding us to fight her fight.

She may be gone - her job's not done.

Editor, Peshtigo Times:

This message is being sent to the Marinette County Board of Supervisors and the citizens of Marinette County, in advance of the County Board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25, when Supervisors will again be asked to express their support for our Constitutional protections.

The United Constitutionalists of Marinette County have been strong advocates for establishing a Second Amendment Preservation Act in the county or declaring Marinette County a Second Amendment Sanctuary to protect the rights of the citizens of the county to possess and use firearms. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees that, ""�the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed", rights "..endowed by their Creator"�", not granted by the government. The Wisconsin State Constitution elaborates on this concept. In Article I, Section 25, it states, "The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose".

It is abundantly clear that there are people in the state and federal, and even local governments that would like to ignore these rights and restrict them, through laws, taxes, mandates and executive orders that are unconstitutional. We have asked the County Board of Supervisors to assure the citizens of this county that they will not allow government overreach nor the use of county funds and resources to do so. This is not a radical idea. It is happening all over the state of Wisconsin and across the country.

At the December 21, 2021 county board meeting, the Administrative Committee brought a resolution to the full board for a vote to state its commitment to protect the gun ownership rights of Marinette County citizens and not allow the use of county resources to undermine the Second Amendment. A motion was made and seconded, but the vote was never allowed. Instead, a second motion was made by Supervisor Stan Gruszynski to refer the resolution back to the Administrative Committee to be rewritten as a proposal in support of the entire Constitution and all the Amendments. A vote on this motion was allowed and passed, thus delaying any action.

What happened at the Administrative Committee on January 13, 2022 may reveal the real motive behind the delay. The resolution they will present to the full Board expresses support for the Constitution and all of the Amendments to it, with brief mention of their support for Second Amendment rights. However, Supervisor Gruszynski, along with Supervisor Don Pazynski, refused to support this resolution. In other locations, local boards are allowing taxation on the purchase of ammo and firearms, as well as on the possession of all firearms, to fund such things as mental health services for victims and perpetrators of gun violence or people who feel threatened by gun violence. We hope that the omission of this allowance of taxation is not why these two members of the Board chose to not back a statement in support of the Constitution and the Amendments. But why, then? Fortunately, no such wording will be included in the resolution to be presented to the full board for vote.

But this is exactly the sort of efforts by misguided politicians that a Second Amendment Protection Act will prevent and protect against. Are there people on the Board of Supervisors who would like to impose a tax not only when you purchase a firearm or ammo, but on all the firearms you possess, to fund projects they deem to be worthy? Where does your Supervisor stand? Call them and find out and let them know how you feel. While we in the United Constitutionalists of Marinette County group strongly support the Constitution and all Amendments to it, the specific guarantee of the Second Amendment's protection of the people's right to keep and bear Arms is essential to our ability to ensure the preservation of the rights of the people, enumerated throughout the Constitution and the other Amendments. Without our Second Amendment rights, the rest can fall easily to an overreaching, and possibly, tyrannical government. The argument was made by one of the Supervisors at the December meeting that people have been afraid for fifty years that the government is going to take their guns, but it's never happened. But there never has been a time when the government has shut down businesses, mandated citizens to wear masks and mandated experimental (research it) vaccines they don't want. Current government officials have stated their intent to outlaw legal guns and magazines and create a mandatory national gun registry, which would allow them to keep track of gun owners. It is an intrusion to privacy and unconstitutional!

Despite the support of State Senator Mary Felzkowski, and State Representatives Jeff Mursau and Elijah Behnke, and despite the majority of the state legislature voting in favor of declaring the state of Wisconsin a Second Amendment sanctuary, it would seem the Marinette County Board of Supervisors is aligning with Tony Evers in vetoing this effort. Nearly 2,500 citizens of this county signed a petition in support of this effort. Contrary to the baseless claims of a Supervisor at the December board meeting, these people declared they were residents of the county, with their signatures. Though this was not a legal petition and we have not legally vetted all of the signatures, we choose to believe that they, and we know that we, are not liars. Though we did receive signatures from county property owners who are not residents of the county, we did not include them in our final tally.

At a time when the government seeks to defund police forces, the district attorneys are not properly holding and prosecuting violent criminals, and the President wants to erode gun ownership rights, we stand for the defense of Second Amendment rights and their protection. We strongly urge the Marinette County Board of Supervisors to pass a Second Amendment sanctuary declaration or a Second Amendment Preservation Act, in addition to any resolution they have in support of the oaths they have already taken. This would make a statement that they all intend to stand by those oaths, not take actions such as taxing the purchase and possession of firearms, which would violate the protection provided by the Second Amendment against the government infringing on our God given right to keep and bear Arms.

When all of the guns have been banned, when all of the words have been censored, when all of the history has been erased, when all the freedom has been taken, only then will you discover why our right to bear Arms was so high on the list.
