The Coleman Area Library Association is sponsoring a Book/Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, March 26 at Equity Hall, 7403 Hwy. 64, Pound, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission will be a non-perishable food item. The Coleman Area Library Association was formed in 1984 by a group of citizens representing each of the municipalities served by the Coleman School District, to establish a branch to the Marinette County Library System in Coleman. The primary mission of the Coleman Area Library Association is to meet the needs of the Library through volunteerism as well as financial support. Patrons of the Coleman/Pound Area Library are considered members of the Coleman Area Library Association and all are invited to take part in its activities. It is governed by a Board of Directors elected from the membership. The Association meetings are held quarterly with the January meeting serving as the Annual Meeting. All meetings are open to all members of the Association.
The Coleman Area Library Association will celebrate 38 years of continued promotional and financial support of the Coleman/Pound Area Library this May. Any member wishing to serve on the board of directors may contact either the Library at 920-897-2400 or Board President, Marilu Stillings at 920-591-1171.
