Crivitz Legion Auxiliar Held March Meeting

A meeting of the Crivitz American Legion Auxiliary was held recently and called to order by President Marian Wankowski. Chaplain Helen Franzen lead the prayer. They observed a moment of silence for deceased veterans. Present were four members, one transfer, and one guest.
The charter was draped for deceased member Dorothy Ziolkowski.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Marian Wankowski gave the treasurer's report. General fund had $1872.97, Poppy fund $4,312.40, and petty cash had $2,42.
In Committee Reports, chairman Helen Franzen received a report from the school stating that no girls were interested in attending Badger Girls State. Membership has 242 seniors, 16 juniors, 12 dropped, and 5 deceased.
Department communications were read. Ninth District Spring conference is May 7 at Elcho. Deadline for registration is April 15. Anyone interested in going should contact Marian at 715-854-7885.
Poppies will be distributed at Piggly Wiggly. Dates will be May 19-29. Sign up at the April meeting.
March is the start of Auxiliary new year. American Legion Auxiliary Tracking Worksheets were passed out to keep track of hours of service to veterans and their families, military families youth and community. Notices for the Bakeless Bake Sale will be going out in April by mail. This is their only fundraiser of the year.
