THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Fundraising Fish Fries Resume at Local Churches
Issue Date: April 20, 2022
After two years of not holding annual fundraising Lenten fish fry Fridays, St. Augustine, Wausaukee, hosted Friday fish fries March 4 through April 8.
All were well attended by parishioners of St. Agnes, Amberg, St. Augustine, Wausaukee, and St. Mary, Crivitz, along with residents of the local communities. It was an opportunity for many attendees to visit and catch up with relatives, friends, and neighbors.
The churches thank everyone who contributed by donating money, food items, and their work time to make the fundraising efforts a success. They also thank all those who attended for their support.
They especially want to thank all the men who stepped up as new workers to help with deep frying the fish and french fries to enable the fundraiser to happen; Jim Biernasz, Jim Brien, Paul Caine, Cole Couvillion, Stuart Gruszynski, Jerry Micksch, and Hank Novak.
During the fish fries raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win a 58-inch television donated by a parishioner of St. Augustine. The winner was Teri Desotell.
