Graveside services for Manfred E. Wickman, 82, of Byron, Ga., formerly of Marinette, who passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022 in Gray, Ga., will be held Friday, May 20 at 1 p.m. at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette, with his brother, Rev. Eugene Wickman officiating. An honors ceremony will be provided by the Military 20 Year Club.
Born March 27, 1939 in Marinette, to the late Manfred and Elida Palmquist Wickman, he was raised by his paternal grandparents, David and Ida Wickman.
He was retired from the United States Navy and the Bibb County Tax Accessor's Office in Macon, Ga. He was a member of Lutheran faith and loved deer hunting and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ebb Wickman of Byron, Ga.; six children, Valorie Markham of Macon, Ga., David Wickman of Vance, Al., Michelle Wickman of Jackson, Ga., Debey Levitt (Tye) of Calhoun, Ga., Ed Wickman of Arcadia, Fl. and Steve Skinner (Karen) of Alpharetta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Wickman (Carol) of Pembine and many nieces; nephews and other family members and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carmen.
