Carol Leah (Barnard) Marble, 88, of Aurora, Wi., passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at UP Health System in Marquette, Mi.
Born Dec. 25, 1933, at her home in Aurora, to the late Earl and Leah (Church) Barnard, she grew up in Aurora and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1951.
She moved to lower Michigan, where she lived and worked for many years before returning to her family in her hometown. On June 30, 1962, she married Leslie Marble at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2018.
A member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford, Mi., she worked as a press operator for Tri-City Cleaners before retiring. She enjoyed reading, feeding the crows, crossword puzzles, and playing (and winning) Yahtzee. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh with friends and family. A loving mother and valued friend, she will be missed by many.
Survivors include four sons, Michael Marble (Gary Trobaugh) and Christopher (Darci) Marble, both of Minnesota, Steven (Linda) Marble of Georgia and Patrick (Jill) Marble of Colorado; one daughter, Elizabeth (Jason) Koller, Michigan; one brother, Duane Barnard, Michigan; two sisters, Jeanette (David) Rice and Patricia Schaut (Walter Guffey), both of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leslie, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Croyle and Shirley Adams and a brother, Dennis Barnard.
Visitation will be held at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, Mi. on Saturday, June 25 from 1 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Joseph Gouin officiating.
