Caroline E. (Schmidt) Jackson, 93, of Elkhorn, Wi., formerly of Middle Inlet for 23 years, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her home in Elkhorn.
Born Feb. 13, 1929 in Milwaukee, to the late George and Katie (Flager) Schmidt, she married Frank W. Jackson Jr. on July 5, 1947 in Milwaukee. She worked as a meat wrapper for National Tea Grocery Store in Milwaukee for over 17 years, retiring in 1984.
They were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Middle Inlet. She loved being a homemaker, taking care of her family, cooking, and was well known for her Chile. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing cards and bingo, and adult coloring.
She is survived by two children, Suzanne (Daniel) Kolacke of Elkhorn and Randall (Nancy Poetzl) Jackson of Menomonee Falls, Wi.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a brother, John Schmidt of Cedarburg.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Frank; a son, Danny Lee Jackson; four sisters, Mary, Katie, Eva and Rachel and three brothers, Hank, Jake and George.
