Joyce M. Doubek, 91, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Renaissance.
Born March 8, 1931, to the late Clarence and Cecile (LaLonde) Brown in Monroe, La., she graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1948. On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Richard E. Doubek in Marinette and he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2013. She worked as a candy striper at the hospital before her children came, a bit of retail at McCrorry's and was the housekeeper at the Church Rectory for many years.
She enjoyed reading, camping, playing cards and traveling, but especially wintering in Florida. She was a member Resurrection Parish, the Women's Club and the Auxiliary at Bay Area Medical Center.
Survivors include five sons, David (Debra) of Menominee, Michael (Carol) of Pensacola, Fla., Patrick (Debra) of Porterfield, Thomas (Barbara) of Marquette, Mi. and Joel (Angela) of Menominee; two daughters, Angela (Timothy) Tebby of Marquette and Donna (Mark) Ostrenga of Menominee; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Brown and a sister, Ruth Widen.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, May 26 from 9 am. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, with Rev. Brian Gerber officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
