Armed Forces Day Pancake Breakfast A Big Success
Issue Date: May 26, 2022
The Armed Forces Day Pancake Breakfast, sponsored by Crivitz American Legion Post 413 last Saturday, was good for the post and good for the community.
The breakfast committee, consisting of Chairman Matt Stevenson, Tom Philhower, Dion Uhl and Bob Kleba, ran a tight ship and provided great service, good food, and a good social atmosphere. The food, beverages, and supplies were acquired through donations and continued support from Pelkin's Smokey Meats, who helped out with some really great tasting breakfast sausages. The proceeds from this event will help the post continue to service local veterans and their families and assist with post functions. The next celebration sponsored by the post will be on Tuesday, June 14th, when the post will honor Flag Day and celebrate the 247th birthday of the US Army. The celebration will run from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm at American Legion Post 413 Clubhouse on Hwy 141 across from the Piggly Wiggly store. Pizza and beverages will be provided by the post. This event is open to all veterans and their families. Non-members of the Legion who are interested in the American Legion can talk to Membership Coordinator Bob Kleba about the benefits of joining. To RSVP, call Adjutant Matt Stevenson, 920-676-1260, or Membership Chairman Bob Kleba, 715-938-2049.
