Joan M. (Gamlin) Rogers, 91, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area.
Born June 4, 1930 in Menominee, Mi., the former Joan M. Gamlin, she lived in the area all of her life prior to entering Rennes Care Center, East in Peshtigo. She graduated from Marinette High School and married John H. Rogers on May 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2020.
For many years, she worked in food service on the UW-Marinette Campus. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she spent many years providing child care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their early years. The couple enjoyed camping trips, often with family, and attended many regional festivals while camping.
She is survived by three daughters, Denise Lentz, Diane (Andrew) Swanson and Doreen (Dave) Sebero, all of Marinette; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, in 1971.
Visitation was held at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, May 28 from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Deacon David Denby of Holy Family Parish officiated, with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette.
