McClintock Park Murder Saga Comes To An EndIssue Date: July 5, 2022 The saga of Marinette County's McClintock Park murders came to an end on Friday, June 17, when Raymand Vannieuwenhoven, 85, passed away at the Oshkosh Correctional Institute. He had served only 10 months of the two consecutive life sentences that were imposed by Judge James Morrison on August 26, 2021 in Marinette County Circuit Court for taking the lives of a young couple from Green Bay while they were camping at McClintock Park in Marinette County nearly 46 years ago.

Seek Candidates To Replace Dist. Supervisor Don Pazynski Issue Date: July 5, 2022 The Marinette County Board meeting on Tuesday, June 28 began and ended with tributes to Supervisor Don Pazynski, who passed away on Monday, June 20. Pazynski had served his Town of Peshtigo Wards 5 and 6 (District 22) on County Board for slightly more than a decade.
Board Chair John Guarisco invited any District 22 resident interested in filling Pazynski's position to submit a letter of interest, and said he hopes to be able to hold interviews and make an appointment as early as the County Board meeting on Tuesday, July 26.

Marinette County Breakfast on The Finger Family Farm A Huge SuccessIssue Date: July 5, 2022 A crowd estimated at over 5,000 people attended the 2022 Marinette County Breakfast on the Farm. This year breakfast was served on the Finger Family Farm at County Line, just south of Peshtigo. According to Corey Kuchta one of the many organizers, hungry customers devoured 5,000 cartons of milk, 500 cartons of juice, two pallets of water, 1,500 pounds of eggs, 500 pounds of pancakes mix, 85 gallons of milk, 20 gallons of maple syrup, 200 pounds of beef sticks, 6,000 donut holes, 200 pounds of cheese and 162 gallons of ice cream.
