Peshtigo School Board To Meet Wednesday, April 13

Agenda for the regular monthly meeting of Peshtigo School Board at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 includes first readings of a long, long list of policies and policy changes that include a new policy governing Curriculum Development and revisions to an existing policy governing Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education programs or activities.
The meeting will be held in the elementary learning center cafeteria.
The proposed policy revisions include numerous changes in existing board by-laws that govern the school board electoral process, vacancies, and board member behavior and code of conduct.
Among other policies slated for changes are several that govern the handling of finances; employment policies; grievance procedures; student fees, fines, and charges; procurement of federal grants or funds, and control of casual-contact communicable diseases.
The series of meetings for the evening begins at 5 p.m. in the district office with a Policies/Goals committee meeting that includes provision for public comments, including in-person plus written and signed comments and correspondence from the public.
At 5:30 p.m. the Finance, Personnel & Negotiations Committee will meet in the district office to discuss and possibly act on early retirement benefit provisions and accounts payable.
