Issue Date: April 7, 2022
Carrie Brazeau is seeking the Republican Party nomination for the Marinette County Clerk of Circuit Court position to be filled in the Wisconsin elections on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If a primary runoff is required, her name will be on the Republican Party ballot for voting on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Sheila M. Dudka, the incumbent Marinette County Clerk of Courts for Marinette County, has announced that she will not be a candidate for return to office in the fall elections. New 4-year terms begin in January of 2023.
Brazeau, 46, daughter of Mike and the late Sue Perry, is a lifelong resident of Coleman, where she and her husband, Richard Brazeau, live. Together they have five children and one grandson, Kayla (Mitch) Szwet and grandson Emmett, Eric (Rachel) Brazeau, Megan Larmour, Allison Brazeau and Scott Brazeau.
Brazeau has been deputy clerk for the Marinette County Clerk of Courts office since January of 2015. She has the knowledge and ability to fill in where needed in the office and in the courtroom, and has been praised as a dedicated and hardworking employee who has learned the different roles within the office, giving her the ability to help with the training of new employees.
Brazeau said she is committed to her family, community and country. Over the years she has been an active member of both her community and county by serving as 1st Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Marinette County, member of Juvenile Clerks Association, member of St. Anne Parish in Coleman, past president of the Coleman Music Boosters, past president of the Coleman Parent Teacher Organization, former Committee Chair of the Coleman-Pound Cub Scout Pack 4099 and former Religious Education Committee member for St. Anne Parish in Coleman.
