Coleman-Pound Legion Celebrate Memorial Day

The Coleman-Pound American Legion Post 280 celebrated a tribute to all veterans at its Veterans Memorial at Lillian Park in Coleman on Monday, May 30. Commander Ken Stodola accepted the statues of an eagle and military soldier to its walkway on behalf of the Coleman-Pound Legion Post.
He also thanked T and T Builders for the platforms, Karbon Custom Curbing, and all who donated for the new sign that will face the existing sign at the entrance.
Early plans are for the road side to have a large flag with an eagle flying across it. At the top will be "Old Glory ?? Long may she wave". The inside will have soldiers raising the American Flag at Iwo Jima during World War II with the words "All Veterans gave some ?? Some Veterans gave all". The bottom will list all donator's who helped fund this addition with $50 or more. The Coleman-Pound American Legion would like to thank all individuals or businesses who donated. Ken Stodola ended the ceremony by thanking all that attended and having a military prayer.
