Price Of Garbage In Dunbar Is Going Up

At the monthly meeting of the Dunbar Town Board on Tuesday, May 10, Chris McLain reported that 33 students would be participating in the community service project of cleaning the Veterans Park, ballpark and other areas on Wednesday, May 18.
During time for public comment, Jayne Collins commented on work being done at the cemetery by Accurate Underground.
Board Members present for the meeting were town Chair Bruce Radtke, Supervisor David White, Clerk/Treasurer Sue Rohde-Perry, and Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Jayne Collins, who recorded minutes of the meeting. Others present were Dianne Adell, Mandy McLain, Roger Cudnohufsky, Veishea Grebin, Chris McLain and Tricia Grebin.
Supervisor White reported that the grader needs work.
Chairman Radtke reported that as of Friday, July 1, the recycling center will begin charging $3 for any bags larger than tall kitchen garbage bags, Wil-Kill went to the Historical Museum to treat a massive fly problem, and Marinette County will bulldoze the walking path between Veterans Park and the fishing pond.
After a discussion on seeking bids for blacktopping a section of Lily Lake Road, it was decided that bids would be solicited. However, the board agreed if the price is too outrageous, the project will be put off until prices come down.
The monthly financial report was approved as presented by the treasurer.
The next monthly meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14.
