Frank J. Kusnierz, Jr., 91, of Marinette, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center ?? Bay Area. He was born on May 3, 1931, to the late Frank and Mary (Slawik) Kusnierz Sr. in Marinette, and graduated from Marinette High School in 1949. He went on to serve his country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War.
On May 22, 1954, Frank married Marjorie Doubek in Menominee, MI. He worked at Scott Paper for 34 years, retiring in 1986. Frank was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Knights of Columbus, Elks, and a charter member of Marinette Little League. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, especially to Florida and Arizona and time at camp, at Golden Lake, MI.
Frank is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie Kusnierz of Marinette; sons, Gary (Sue) Kusnierz of Hortonville and Greg (Linda) Kusnierz of Las Vegas; daughter, Deborah (Gerald) Hay of Keaau, HI; sister, Rose Barnes; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret (Royal) Nicklaus and Ann (Edward) Shaver; brother, Gerald (Margaret "Midge") Kusnierz; and brother-in-law, Ernest Barnes.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16th from 4-6 pm with a Vigil service at 6 pm. Additional time of visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish ?? Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday, June 17th from 10 am until time of Mass at 11 am with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Military Honors will be held after Mass. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc.
