Dorothy E. (Limberg) Caebe

Issue Date: June 23, 2022

Dorothy E. (Limberg) Caebe, 104, passed away June 15, 2022 at Rennes Health Center West. 

She was born March 1, 1918 daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Krah) Limberg. September 30, 1939 she married Allan J. Caebe at the Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo and the couple celebrated 70 years of marriage. Allan preceded her in death June 14, 2010. 

An accomplished gardener, she especially enjoyed her flower gardens, hunting both deer and small game and trout fishing, but her specialty was ice fishing. She worked and lived to enjoy time at her cabin at Silver Cliff and in her later years the cabin at Van Zile Island Lake. She loved family holidays and was a great homemaker, baker, cook and she made sure you never went home hungry.

Dorothy is survived by, a son, Wayne (Joyce) Caebe; 2 grandsons, Kevin (special friend, Bernadette) Caebe and Kurt Caebe; 2 great-grandchildren, Keifer (fiancé, Greesh) and Cady (special friend, Vincent) and a Great-great-grandchild, Wyatt.

Along with her parents and her husband, Allan, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 21st at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo assisted the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and the entire staff at Rennes Health and Rehab West for the wonderful care and compassion that Dorothy received.
